Da lag oh god da lag! It was a very nice animation but it gave me a headache @_@. Looking forward to rewatching it on youtube, hopefully with less lag.
Good Animation but totally missed the joke. It's been forever since I've seen land before time. Actually, not since I was a kid. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I had to look through comments to find out the joke and I'm if you haven't watch this movie in the last couple of years you won't get it either. Brings back memories though . . .
When you make an animation got to the last frame, create a new layer, go into the actions panel, and type "stop();" so it doesn't keep looping indefinitely. Anyway, I agree with BadArbiphile I would try posting on youtube.
k. thanks for the feed back and the help :)
I like the modeling and the camera work but the animation leaves a lot to be desired. The walking almost looked like some kind of robot made by Boston Dynamics; it's works but looks totally unnatural. Also, there wasn't a lot of animation throughout the animation. For that walk cycle being pretty much the most prominent animation in the short, it would probably help to clean it up.
Well, I don't mind political messages in animation but this was just dumb. I went out of my way to watch that commercial you posted and it is nothing like your parody. Absolutely, not even relatable. I'm not sure what you were thinking. The ad didn't even mention Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan. It didn't even mention minorities. All it had was the voice of a black man singing in the background. This isn't just a stretch it's straight prejudice. No, not in the racial sense but you absolutely prejudged the ad before even analyzing it. If anybody disagrees with me your more than welcome to watch the ad yourself:
Animation was alright but the comedy failed because it wasn't really a parody since it used 0% of the source material to make fun of. On top of that's the accusation of Mitt Romney were just so far from reality I was more confused than humored.
The president made a political commercial specifically for urban outreach. This cartoon exaggerates that by using looser slang/accent, while playing on the anti-minority stance that media links to Romney. It's parody because it exaggerates this stance into the absurd. Several other reviewers got it. Not sure how much more clear I can be. Uh..thanks for the review?
I just love that intro. . . Dino Yacht Club. . . bwem bum . .Dino Yacht Club. . .bwem bum. . . Dino Yacht CLuuu uh uh ub. . . DIIIYYYNOOO YACHT CLUUUAAAAAAAHHHHHHB!
Sorry, I have a short attention span. So far I can tell it's of really good quality though. It looks like it's going to be one of those pschological, introspective, super-artsy pieces I'm not usually into, mainly because they have the pacing of holding an old lady's hand while crossing the street. I'll probably end up watching the rest of it later just for the artwork as it is terrific. The scene changing the bed into a car was marvelous. So far, I admire the intent to do without dialogue but it makes for an awfully slow story. I just don't think visual story telling has to be slow. I think people are far more sympathetic to psychology and dreams than some story tellers give them credit for. So yes, I'm criticizing the pacing. Perhaps it will pay out eventually. In my history the build up usually falls flat more often than not but I try to always gives them a chance even if it does bore me at first there are usually more than a few redeeming qualities towards the end, I hope at least. . . rating pending.
Why'd you even rate it to begin with if you hadn't watched the whole thing yet?
It's quite fast paced, i didn't want it to be one of slow boring art films that are all black and white and whatnot.. Give the whole thing a go and even if you don't like it i certainly don't think it deserves 0/5
...I've never heard of this....
What in the hell? I don't even....
Well, it seems like this has to do with some web comic I've never heard of until now. Judging from the absolute randomness of the animation I'm not so sure I want to find out.
To the author of this saying, "Obviously makes more sense if you are caught up on the whole story, but hope you enjoy anyway" is a bit of an understatement. You should have just said if you haven't read the webcomic don't even bother watching. It's your own fault. You told me to enjoy watching it but didn't even bother explaining jack to me so why should I bother to enjoy it or understanding it since you won't bother? Why even bother giving an honest review, since webcomic fanboys will completely drown this out.
Well, I can see this obviously took a lot of time to make so I'll give it an honest review.
This was a ridiculously long animation. I'm not sure what the heck was going on but it could obviously have been shortened or summarized. There were long stretches of nothing but flashing images. I'm going to be honest. I'm not going to like an animation just because it takes forever to watch. Remember less is more. I was literally bored stupid by then end. I can only watch streams of never ending colors for so long.
Next problem is the consistency. Again I don't know if the drastic changes in art style has something to with the webcomic but it's distracting. The Animation fails for the same reason. Everything kept moving and changing but just because you have everything moving doesn't mean I'm not going to see mistakes. The animation was shaky, inconsistent, and mostly excessive. You could easily have focused on making a few things bearable rather than the entire thing sloppy. Don't get me wrong it's still pretty good but the change in quality every 5 seconds was more annoying if it had all been subpar.
I give this whole contraption a 5, because it's all I could give it. The animations good enough for what you were trying to show....Oh wait I have no idea what that is. Well the music certainly fitted the pacing... Oh wait I have no idea what the plot needed pacing. Well its was colorful and was nice to look at for a while, except for the fact that it kept going on and on.
Bottom line. If you knew this wasn't going to make sense to the average viewer, just say so. I could have said nice art and turned it off halfway through, but I kept expecting something to happen for it to make some kind of lasting impression to me. The sad thing is the league of +10ers and fanboys hyped praises for this so when I go to watch it I'm expecting something. Something that would blow me away. Not something trite and intentionally convoluded.
Funniest thing since toast cat
My mind is blown...no words...can describe
just take your 10...here.
For the record... in case people are interested.
